Kim’s 650b+ all road bicycle
This is the second bike I’ve built for Kim and it is very different from his first. I don’t build a lot of bikes in the drop bar MTB style but it’s definitely growing on me. Kim knew what he wanted right down to the color and I was excited to make it.
Clean lines and internal routing where possible were at the top of the list. The rear brake and shifter cable route through the downtube and under the T47 bottom bracket. There is no dynamo, pump, or fenders so the lines are kept as tidy as possible.
SRAM Force 1×11 drivetrain and hydraulic brakes, White Industries crankset and hubs, HED Belgium Plus rims, Salsa carbon post and Cowchipper bar, King headset, and a custom fillet brazed stem round out the build. There’s titanium hardware throughout to keep the weight down too.
There are times when I’ve been on rides and I wished I had this exact type of bike. Actually, it’s almost every ride for at least a little section. If I were to build myself a mountain bike, it wouldn’t be too far off from what this is. And this bike is fun! It’s light and speedy. It handles great on roads and trails alike and is minimal in appearance. Just my style…and Kim’s too.

Hi,
one question to this bike, especially the fork. Wich Disc Size can I use?
Thanks Thomas

If I remember correctly, these were 160mm. 180mm would work with the proper adapter as the blades bow outward.

Thanks! And there’s a custom frame bag that uses those bosses and the water bottle bosses as mounting points.
